The windshield wiper fluid had not been topped off. The resulting loss of the ability to clean the windshield of muddy spray due to recent rains created a safety issue when turning onto a street that had us looking into a setting sun. Filling the reservoir with 1.5L of water was insufficient to prime the pump. Another 1.5L of water was necessary to get the system working again. Quite inconvenient. Otherwise, our experience within the Budget staffs’ control was commendable.Reviewed Jan 28 2024

Drop off a little inconvenient because of early flight and budget not open but they do offer a pre drop off inspection the evening before. Next morning drop keys in drop box.Reviewed Sep 19 2022

Pros:Friendly staff. Helpful. Car was clean and in good shape.Cons:Had to pick up the car at the airport and pay for a taxi to get there. Budget was not able to pick us up at our hotel and or deliver the car to us at the hotel, which they've done in the past.Reviewed Sep 30 2019

Gas GamePros:Did not like: Received the car with an odd quantity of fuel, was hard to know how much to put in to get it back to that mark. Had to pay $40 for a quarter tank basically, which is easily how much it costs to fill up the entire tank. Annoying. The local phone number is the office, which is not near the actual pick up. It was closed so the outgoing mag should have told me that to reach the office where the cars are, call this number. There was no way to contact them in this scenario.Reviewed Jan 3 2017

AffordablePros:The price was by far the best on the island. Other people thought the same because after our flight landed our line at budget was 10 people deep while the other companies had maybe 1 person . Make sure your credit card has car rental insurance then you don't have to pay for their expensive insurance.Cons:The initial wait in line was long.Reviewed Oct 22 2016

Pickup/Dropoff lengthy - extra charges for additioPros:The base price was good.Cons:It took an unreasonably long time to actually pickup the car. The vendor is understaffed. They are quite particular about taking the time to mark off scratches on your vehicle which gives you the impression they are going to be difficult if you add any yourself. Such paranoia leads you to go over the vehicle yourself at pickup and then you find even more things they have missed off. While the base price was good, the charge for additional drivers was terrible and quite unnecessary - we didn't have extra insurance so we were paying only the vendor. Only one person can drive the vehicle at a time so whether myself or my wife does it...shouldn't cost extra per day.Reviewed Aug 15 2016
