First off my flight landed at 11:20 AM on Saturday. I called the location that was my reservation. I told him I would be six minutes away. They said they would wait for me but keep in mind they close at 12 I took a Uber to get there I go to location come to find out 1145 they completely locked their doors. I tried calling them six times and they completely ignore me Crying and very upset since I needed this truck to move my family member I called the reservation hotline and they transfer me to another location. That’s an hour away damaged. My reservation and plans reserve resort to me to pay extra day rental. I will not be using budget anymore. I’m very unhappy with the customer service they have given me.Reviewed Jan 17 2024

Budget was closed at ABQ - directed to AVIS counter. They did NOT have the RAV4 AWD that I had reserved (with nav) ; nor did they have any AWD vehicle for me. The agent said thy don't have AWd vehicles because ABQ only gets snow one month out of the year - I didn't know people who rented in ABQ never strayed out of that city!) After searching, the agent found a FORD Edge with AWD - for an ADDITIONAL $25 per day above the cost of the AWD quote. The right rear tire sensor kept going off during the trip, but the tire itself was not deflated. It is a noisy ride and the seats are not comfortable for a long trip, You have to look at the digital controls on the center console- That is not a safe practice going 75 mph on the I-40. After driving this vehicle for over 2k miles, I can say I would never buy a FORD Edge.Reviewed Jan 3 2024

Pros:The fellow at pickup could not have been more friendly and helpful. I have no issue with him.Cons:1st. There was no mention during the online booking of the car that the rental location was not at the airport, despite my flight booking. I took the shuttle from the airport to the car rental center only to be told that my pickup location was a $30 cab ride away.1 1/2 hours would have been saved. 2nd.The car itself was miserable to drive. The alignment was so bad it wouldn't hold the road, it stunk of smoke, and there was an orange abandoned vehicle sticker on the drivers window obstructing view. For some reason I had trouble maintaining an even highway speed and the cruise didn't work. It made my 2 hour drive feel like 5. Driving this car was a white knuckle experience.Reviewed Apr 13 2021

Pros:There was nothing I liked about this experience. Such a bad experience.Cons:They made a reservation for 12pm for a location that closed... at 12pm. The guy was still there and informed me that they “have been trying to get this changed for sometime” and did nothing to help us. We had to get a ride to another location and they tried to charge us more than double the reservation price. When I asked to speak to the manger on site, I was told that it would be 3-4hrs before she could speak with us. I spent literally hours on the phone with National. When we finally did get the car, they gave us the wrong car and didn’t tell us. When I called to tell them they gave us the wrong car, they directed me to a new location to pick up the right car. Upon arriving at the new location the person on site told me that he “didn’t know why they told us that, I don’t have any cars to give you”. No one at any of these locations were apologetic or tried to help us figure anything out. National ended up giving us a $100 credit which isn’t really that much (IMO) for how much time I spent dealing with this nightmare.Reviewed Apr 13 2021

Pros:Loved the Jeep WranglerCons:The car had a tire with half the safe level of tire pressure, so I was getting crisis alerts on the dashboard the whole time. The windshield was dirty and there was no windshield wiper fluid.Reviewed Nov 3 2020
