Pros (+) It was definitely cheap, that's for sure. We liked that it has a full kitchen every other floor and also many bathrooms. Since it's a hostel, you do share those with others but that was never a problem for us. Even though there were other people staying in the building, I was never in the kitchen with any one or found myself waiting for a bathroom. Also the bathrooms were decently clean and always...
Cons (-) Even though it appeared generally clean and well kept, the fact that there were two cockroach traps in our bedroom and then I saw another in the kitchen, kind of really skeeved me out. Pros (+) It was clean, had the basic necessities, easy to access, good kitchen and laundry facilities, safe, convenient location close to buses and downtown, affordable price.
Cons (-) It was across the street from a bar and at night the bar patrons were quite noisy until 2:00 am, making it difficult for me to sleep well. Also, there is no parking close by, so people with vehicles need to know that they will have to park far away and walk for about 20 min. to reach a parking garage from the hotel. There is no dining area, so patrons need to eat in their rooms.
