Pros (+) The area was great with super easy access to the beach. Housekeeping was consistent and the bar and grill had good food The front desk staff were nice and beautiful islanders.
Cons (-) Hot water in my room wasn't all that hot. The bar and grill had long wait times with the food although not many people in the restaurant.

Pros (+) I liked that the hotel was close to the airport and had everything. It's close to downtown and shopping as well
Cons (-) The hotel restaurant and bar are a bit over priced and mostly American food. I was also checked into a room that was already occupied but it was quickly resolved.

Pros (+) The location is not very safe! As I was sitting on my 1st floor balcony a man came up to me after dark wanting me to let him use my cell phone. He had to be told numerous times NO!! He waited on my husband to go in the room before he came over and ask me!! It was very scarybecause it was very dark and not lit well at all! Pros (+) I enjoyed the overall experience at the Emerald Beach resort but the rooms and the property as a whole needs to be updated. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful and I especially enjoyed the quality inn location of the beach. It's proximity to the airport was a little disappointing but not overbearing. I would definitely stay there again but they had to straighten out the bill for me...
Cons (-) The locals on Saint Thomas that inhabit the island are not very friendly in general. I really think they do not like tourists or Caucasian people at all And there were many lovely experiences I had with people there but you know who the locals are and you can tell that they really have a resentment. But as for the staff at the Emerald Beach they were lovely

Pros (+) Loved the beach location and closeness to airport - we walked. Loved the cool tropical gardens and plushness of surroundings despite a drought. Loved the refreshing pool after being on the beach with the waterfall. Setting of restaurant is beautiful. Rooms and beds extremely comfortable and views are spectacular. Staff was very friendly and informative.
Cons (-) The shower ran out of water while I was in it. The quality of the food was okay but overpriced. Wine was way out of line expense wise.
