The William is a boutique hotel in New York City. It’s very modern in its design and gives guests the feeling that they are staying in Manhattan. This hotel is located between Madison and Park Avenues. The neighborhood is called Bryant Park and the location is only a few blocks away from Times Square.
This hotel has 32 rooms that are decorated with different color schemes that are vibrant and alive. Rooms all come with HD smart TVs, sound systems, free WiFi, Nespresso coffee machines, and plush robes. The beds are high quality and luxurious with pillowtop mattresses and premium linens.
Guests at The William can dine at The Shakespeare Dining Room which has style inspired by the early 19th century. The food is heavily influenced by British cuisine. The Shakespeare Pub looks just like a medieval pub from the Stratford upon Avon area. There is good pub food and some good drink choices served there. Pros (+) The staff were very friendly, carried our luggage, and even upgraded our room to have a terrace which was huge! The room was also very clean. We could hook our phones to the smart tv or rent any movie we wanted. The location is awesome. We could walk to Bryant Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, etc.
Cons (-) The elevator was very slow. We also could not change the temperature in the room. I kept setting it to 66-68 and somehow it stayed on 74 or would automatically change back to 74 during the day/night. It was extremely hot. Additionally, there is no hotel parking. We had to circle the block on our own. The hotel did give us a discount though.
Pros (+) From the moment you spot the flower crowned steps and friendly doorman you'll know you found a diamond in the rough of Manhatten. The William combines a classic touch with a very hip flare. The room was immaculate and complete with high tech accessories, high end toiletries, and the best - your very own Nespresso bar.
