Pros (+) If you're looking for a clean base to rest your head at night, this is it. No frills- you get a bed and a bathroom. Staff are nice and helpful, food is good, bed was always made, and excellent location.
Cons (-) Noisy at times. Thin walls.
Pros (+) The best thing about El Caribe is its location. We have been staying there for 20 years, and there is some improvement this year. The A/C is better and the bathrooms are better. When you pay little money for a room you shouldn't expect the Marriott or a similar hotel.
Cons (-) I think there should be a lamp on the bedside table. I know there is back lighting, but a lamp would be nice. I also think some drawers would be helpful to be able to store your clothes and not have to leave them in your suitcase.
