Each simply decorated room at Hostal El Brezo has air conditioning, a desk, a flat-screen TV and a bathroom. Free water is provided. Cafes, bars and restaurants can be found along Gran Vía, as well as around Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, which can be reached in 25 minutes by foot. Jiménez Díaz and San Carlos hospitals are within 10 minutes’ walk of the guest house. You can reach El Retiro Park, the Museum Triangle and Atocha Railway Station within 30 minutes by bus or Metro.

Cons (-) Hot water was a commodity. Rooms are not sound proof - you will be woken up in the middle of the night by neighbors walking into their rooms. Towels were not changed daily. Soap and shampoo was also a commodity. Elevator was not working one of the days - this hostel is on the 3rd floor, we had to carry our luggage 3 stories. We payed 75$ per night, we had other options at that price. I would have ...
