Pros: Nice little family B$B run by two friendly and helpful guys. Really nice place for the price--flat screen, air conditioning, everything brand new. Breakfast was great--in a surprisingly ornate room covered in frescoes. Centrally located. Highly recommended.

The buffet breakfast, featuring both hot and cold items, breads, cornetti, cakes, champagne, and juices was not only delicious but the best that we have had in Italy. The room was clean, modern with comfortable beds. The location was ideal - right on the main shopping street of Catania and only 5-10 minute walk to the Duomo. The hotel is also very near the main open market selling fresh vegetables, fruit, bread, meat, and clothes.

Pros: I was given a room in an adjacent building and ended up being locked in the building. I was charged for a large room which I had not requested which almost doubled the rate.
As a solo traveler, I didn't feel safe in the building and didn't sleep.
The decor needs upgrades, it's not at all cozy or warm.

Pros: We really liked Manganelli Palace. The central location was perfect to walk around Catania and to take the bus to Aci Castello. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was big with a decoratively painted ceiling. The bathroom was modern and very clean. But what it really made this place outstanding was the staff: Simona, Dario and Danilo. Kind and extremely pleasant, they helped us fully with our travel nightmares (BA and Alitalia), thank you all! We highly recommend this hotel to everyone in search of affordable luxury and individual courtesy.

Pros: Location is good. Just outside the centre of busy Catania. But with enough restaurants nearby. It's a good place to explore the east coast. The deck at the sea is perfect because there's no real beach nearby. There's a sandbeach south of Catania but that's full of lidos. Room had balcony and seaview and restaurant is good, even the breakfast. Service is nice and helpful. But not everybody speaks English. Be aware that a lot of the roads are not highways and that it will take some time to get there.

Pros: We had a fabulous time at the Parco degli Aragonesi. All of the staff were very helpful and curteous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who wants the ease of being yards from the beach, great pool and a good restaurant. It was so easy to travel into Catania and the holiday was great. We are thinking of booking again as we had such a good time.

Pros: The pool was in excellent settings and very ease to enter if one is elderly. The food and service also excellent when we dined in the evening and the atmosphere was lovely. The hotel itself is a little shabby and too drab for a mediterranean seaside resort, it could do with a nice light uplift. Apart from that we enjoyed our two day stay.
