Pros: The facility was very clean and the employees are awesome. The manager (well who I think is the manager) manages 2 hotels The Star Lux and Blue Palms. He gave me the most convenient rooms (probable wasn't intentional but...) I could possible get and they both were great. Star Lux has a separate living room and a small kitchen area. If you never had a suite before you will love it, but for people who never book anything but a suite (like myself) it is what's expected. Outside is gorgeous. The have a small greenhouse like space with a sitting area and TV's to watch. It's very clean inside and is a great place to relax. I love the fresh air that breezes by and natural light. The pool is nice. It's not large, but you shouldn't expect that here anyway. The beach is literally footsteps away. Overall I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: There is a note on the bathtub wall that tells you how to turn the shower on. There was only one visible knob and it did nothing when moved. 2. The hotel is located at the beginning (main start) of the boardwalk where the WildWood sign and beach balls are. The stores/rides/excitement are a few blocks up. If you all are adults then it's not a big deal. However, walking in the heat with small children makes it very inconvenient even with a stroller.

Pros: Location is fantastic! Overall, the staff was friendly (ran into an issue with the maid) and the room was comfortable.
Cons: Maid came to the door asking if we wanted service and and we told her not now, maybe later. We had spent the morning on the beach and wanted to relax before hitting the boardwalk. The maid told us she had to do it now because there wasn't time later. That was annoying because we did need the room serviced, so we went to the boardwalk earlier than expected. We didn't care for the attitude.

Pros: Me and my boyfriend went for Car Show / Irish Weekend. We arrived about 2 hours early and they let us check in no problem at all. When we got to our room we were SOOOOOO HAPPY INSTANTLY! Completely remolded and absolutely adorable. We will be staying here again next year.

Cons: We were on the 3rd floor and the wifi was very spotty up there. Also, there was no phone in our room for us to call the front desk. I had to go all the way to the office to ask for fresh towels.

Cons: Pictures looked better than run down motel that it is. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom, but it didn't work, old fashioned small tube tv, clock didn't work, lamp didn't work, wifi didn't work, air conditioning never got cold, bathroom was sweltering, run down mismatched furniture, no headboards, no blankets, had to use comforter for a blanket. Parking was ridiculous. Had to race back to hotel and ope you got a space-which was very tight anyway. Never will stay there again and seriously don't understand how Kayak portrayed it as a nice motel. It was a real dive. Good reviews had to be written by family members or owners themselves

Cons: The rooms were dirty when we arrived. There were not enough towels, soap, washcloths etc. Major renovations going on outside our room. All stairs especially pool steps were steep and dangerous for small children. And the railing that leads into the pool jiggled when you touched it. Air conditioner did not function properly, one room was missing a tv remote. Beds were so close to full sized Windows you could see in because the curtain did not fully close. And shower was small and low pressure.

Pros: We stayed at Bolero for Irish Weekend and the car show. The hotel was in a perfect location, 2 blocks from the boardwalk. The rooms were clean. The full size fridge and freezer were also clutch. The indoor pool was nice, staff was friendly. The hotel bar/restaurant had a good band playing both nights we were there too. I highly recommend the Bolero and we will be back next time.

Pros: The location was great near the boardwalk. The pool is good for kids because it's not too deep.
Cons: We reserved for 3 adults and expected a nice room with at least 2 beds. We also read that it had a balcony view. We were so disappointed because we got a dark tiny room with one bed and a sofa bed. My daughter complained of a back pain due to the sofa bed. We were on the first floor under the stairs so it made the room seem darker. We planned on staying one more night depending on how nice it was but we had to reserve in another place.

Pros: The hotel was small and adorable. The location was perfect. Check in/out was a breeze. Plenty of parking in their remote lots. 20% off the diner right next door.
Cons: When I ran the shower, the ceiling started leaking from multiple spots. When I talked to the front desk they said that a month ago the ceiling fell because the room above us showered with the door open (stand in shower). But he claimed it was because we didn't have a window open (no bathroom window to begin with). He proceeded to check upstairs and said that it had happened again even though it started and stopped leaking at the same time I had turned the water on and off. The only reason it didn't get a lower review was because we were only there for the weekend and only used the shower Saturday after the beach.

Pros: The motel was a block away from the boardwalk and the beach. There was a restaurant nextstore and you saved 10% on food if you showed your key card. The room was clean but very small.
Cons: Checking in and checking out we had to walk to another hotel because no one was at the desk. The room had a weird set up. There was a bathroom at the foot of the bed that included the toilet and sink. Then there was a shower stall at the head of the bed.

Each guest room at the Mango Motel features a microwave, refrigerator, and cable TV. Some rooms have a full kitchen and dining area. Guests can relax in the outdoor hot tub at the Wildwood Mango Motel. A terrace and a picnic area with barbecue facilities are also available for use. Wildwoods Convention Center is a 10-minute walk away. The Adventure Pier amusements are a 5-minute walk away.

Pros: Our annual trip to the shore includes two related married couples, so we always try to find a place really close to the beach that has a room with two large beds. Last year we stayed at the Tropicana and thought it was okay–not well taken care of but the location was good. This year I took a shot booking a room at the Mango after reading mixed reviews–it appeared to me that the negative reviews were perhaps isolated incidents and need not be taken too seriously. One block farther away from the beach and $20 cheaper, Mango blew Tropicana out of the water! The distance made no difference because it is already on the road we take straight to the boardwalk–short walk away–and for $20 less we got a nicer room (wood flooring), better amenities (flat screen tv and better beds), cleaner facilities, super friendly manager, better parking (they have 2 lots), and perhaps a bit more family friendly, if you're looking for that. We were well pleased with our stay, and give bonus points for being allowed to stay in the side parking lot with our parking tag for the rest of the day we checked out without having to pay for parking anywhere! Super sweet! We booked the room through Kayak, and there were no problems–just showed ID and the card used, signed the receipt, and got the key. We didn't even have to formally check out when we wanted to leave and hit the beach–we just left the key in the mail slot. We'll likely stay here again for future trips to the shore!

The location is also very convenient for walking to the beach. Rooms were updated and the beds were comfortable. The staff is not very friendly and they have a no visitor rule; they charge 20 per person per night after two this includes children. The pictures featured are deceiving such as the bathroom being much smaller (and damaged) than the picture. The owners are unfriendly and hover over guests, making sure they follow the rules.
