Pros (+) It was close to Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral where we attended a funeral.
Cons (-) We were told that breakfast was included and available from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM. We went to breakfast at 8:45 AM and the only thing available was a couple of biscuits and coffee. There was no hot water to make tea. The television did not receive CBS and had very hazy reception on NBC. There was an ice bucket in the room but the the ice machine was not on the floor where we stayed.

Pros (+) The manager on duty (Norma) was friendly & understanding. She was the ONLY acceptable element of the hotel.
Cons (-) The pictures of this hotel are so inaccurate it looks as those they were taken at a separate location or decades ago. The property is old, outdated, & run down. Everything looked worn out & dirty; the bed, the furniture, the carpet. We had been traveling all day with 2 small children & were so looking forward to unpacking & relaxing; this hotel was so disgusting that we immediately loaded everythi...

Pros (+) As soon as I walked in I was treated with a clean good smiling room. The bed was very comfy and clean sheets
Cons (-) There's no refrigerator in the room, only 6 channels .. some of the furniture in the room was old and torn

Pros (+) Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and helpful
Cons (-) Rooms are dirty and furniture is old / beat up. They forgot to wash the sheets in my first room, however they did give me a different room. The bed in the second room had stains on the comforter and one pillow. Bathroom was clean but very small. No fridge in the room. Telephone didn't work when calling the front desk. Looks like repairs were done with a hot glue gun.

Cons (-) We stayed here 4 years ago after our wedding reception when it was the Omni. We were sad that it felt so different t. The room smelled like cigarettes. The staff was nice, but lacked the professionalism the Omni had. An elevator was broken. The restaurant looked closed on a Saturday night. For $200 a night we expect more.

Pros (+) I loved the hotel as a whole, very vintage with a good feel, and the name fits well in my opinion. I feel if you come to St. Louis often, then you must stay at the Majestic at least once.
Cons (-) What I'm about to say you can take to the bank because I run a family AC & Refrigeration business in the south! The lobby AC was out all weekend (Friday to Sunday), also we had our room set at 60° and trust me it was not 60°. Cons (-) There was not enough parking for guest, we had to pay an extra $20 at another location to park...good thing we only stayed one night. The air and fridge in the room didn't work. Cons (-) Parking is not free. Even though they advertised online as free parking, it isn't. Staff wasn't equipped to handle problems, we watched a man ahead of us not find his room ready for him and the single person working wasn't able to help him.
