Perfect location. Old world charm. Beautiful view.
Waited 30 minutes to check in. No one was at reception. No one answered phone's anywhere in the hotel. Room door jamp grossly out of alignment - use you shoulder. HVAC missing remote. Clerk came when called (once) to adjust the temp then left with his remote! TV operation was a total mystery - markings on the remote were worn off a long time ago. Bathroom - little or no hot water. Towels, only 2, we're cheap and thin. Elevator, extremely slow, was inspected in 2019. Would not take the stairs because the stairway was dark and unlit. Pool - nice view, but the water was too murky to even try. Bed was great and the coffee was very good. Raised these issues at check out and clerk said she'd pass them on. Verbally I assume. WILL NOT RETURN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS PLACE!
Pros:Quiet hotel, very cute rooms, clean, fun rooftop atmosphere with great city views a pool and lots of spots to lounge.
Cons:The elevator is so incredibly slow. You are given an actual key for the door, not a card and that is a pain to keep track of.
Pros:It’s a beautiful colonial style boutique hotel in the heart of old San Juan. The rooms are gorgeous - with tiles on the floor and high wooden beamed ceilings. Bed was large and really comfortable.
Cons:Water in the bathroom was lukewarm at most. Breakfast service was extremely slow and food quality was poor.

Pros:La Terraza is a beautifully restored hotel with tile flooring, alcoves, and a beautiful rooftop terrace. There are modern touches as well like walk in showers, flat screen TVs, and a rather reasonably priced mini bar. The beds were very comfortable and the view from the terrace was pretty impressive. Last but not least, Carmen, the front desk manager/coffee barista was incredibly charming, kind, and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a place to stay in Old San Juan, this is it!
Cons:There is virtually no street parking available which I believe is just a symptom of that part of the city. However, there is a parking garage around the corner but it's a flat rate of $20/24-hrs so be prepared. We also had a difficult time getting to the hotel once we reached Old San Juan due to construction and lots of one way streets. I suggest avoiding the rental car and using some sort of public transport or your own two legs.
Pros:Quaint. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. It was a perfect location for seeing old San Juan
Cons:The room we had was next to the kitchen so we heard noises throughout the night. But it wasn't bad and I would still come back. My wife and I loved the room overall.
Pros:The facilities and staff were excellent. Beautiful rooms, old world charm with modern water pressure and comfy beds. St. Germain is just down the street, and fabulous coffee right around the corner.
Cons:The infinity pool is hoy tub sized, but the view is lovely.
Pros:The hotel had so much character and thought put into every detail. our room was gorgeous! They were very accommodating about us leaving our luggage in a side room when we were several hours early for check in.
