Pros: I found everything to my satisfaction. Mandy and David were very easy to get along with, helpful and attentive, but not 'over the top'. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and the guest house had a peaceful ambience, considering how close it is to a busy city. The breakfast was first class and nothing seemed too much for them when trying to ensure the stay was living up to expectations.

Pros: This was a very nice budget hotel. It was simply furnished, but it was clean, it includes a full English breakfast, the owners are helpful and friendly, there were nice extras (free wifi, TV with many channels), and it's close to the train station. I felt very comfortable and my room was large.

Pros: The hotel is a converted [large] terrace house with rooms that vary from small non en-suite singles to 2/3 bed en-suite. Cleanliness and friendliness were key elements of this hotel (plus a darn good English breakfast). It is close to the centre of Norwich and very close to the rail station. Be realistic in expectation, at only £29 I did not expect a plasma TV and bar in my room - there was a small TV in the room and a good pub very close - but that £29 did include the excellent breakfast.. I have stayed here twice, first time one night this time three, and I will stay again when I am in Norwich. Beware of old reviews of this hotel I believe it changed hands this year and the new couple have upped its quality.

The George Hotel, BW Signature Collection by Best Western, is one of the most picturesque and convenient places to stay in Norwich. Having completed a full refurbishment in 2018, every area has been beautifully upgraded in keeping with the traditional ambience of the building whilst giving a modern feel. This charming Victorian townhouse is just a 10-minute walk away from the city centre and a 15-minute drive from the University of East Anglia, so you’re never far away from the hot-spots of Norwich. There is a wealth of History and iconic landmarks in our City, including two Cathedrals and a Norman Castle. The castle has been used as a prison in years gone by but has now been converted into a museum and art gallery. Another unmissable site within walking distance is the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library, which also houses the Tourist Information Centre. The library gives a great insight into Norwich’s rich literary history and has been voted the most popular library in England for seven years running. If you are in the mood for a scenic stroll or some fresh sea air, the hotel is only a short distance away from the Norfolk Broads National Park and North Norfolk coast. The North Norfolk coast is a haven for wildlife and world famous for its bird watching; so don’t forget your binoculars! The George Hotel welcomes you with warm Norfolk hospitality and fine food, as our No.10 Arlington Bistro has become a favourite mealtime spot amongst guests, many returning especially due to our delicious food and friendly personal service. Additionally, if you're looking for a pet friendly hotel in Norwich our hotel offers two pet friendly rooms for our furry friends. Dogs may stay for only a small fee, so man's best friend can enjoy all the city has to offer by your side. No matter the reason for visiting, The George Hotel proves a delightful, dog friendly hotel in Norwich, placing you in a peaceful spot just outside the heart of this bustling city.

You can expect to find unparalleled natural beauty at the Best Western Annesley House Hotel in Norwich, which sits just a stroll away from the historic city center. The hotel is located in a tree-lined conservation area just outside Norwich’s ancient city walls, with plenty to do nearby. We recommend dedicating some time to the ‘Norwich 12’, during your stay at the Annesley House. These 12 iconic heritage buildings span across 2000 years of history, and are well worth some appreciation. Norwich Castle, Norwich Cathedral, the City Hall and the St James Mill are among some of the 12 gems, and all less than a 10 minute drive from the hotel. You can pick up a Norwich 12 guidebook from most tourist information points to really delve into the rich history of this beautiful city. For some scenic walks, The Norfolk Broads - Britain's newest National Park – is right on your doorstep when staying at the Annesley House Hotel, and offers many breath-taking rivers and lakes to admire. If you still have some free time, the pretty coastal villages of Cley, Wells-next-the-Sea and Happisburgh (check out the little lighthouse) are only a short drive away. The hotel itself is made up of three Grade II listed Georgian buildings, with blooming flowers and shrubbery decorating each. Our award-winning Conservatory restaurant enjoys views over the water garden, with menus changing frequently, but standards remaining exceptionally high. The Conservatory restaurant offers both a fine-dining and lighter bites menu, whilst the Lounge bar offers an array of delicious nightcaps to end your evening in comfort. The hotel has been awarded the coveted AA Silver Star Award, given to only a select few highly recommended hotels. These hotels must offer a superior level of quality, with regards to hospitality, service and cleanliness, as well as possessing an AA Rosette award for the quality of their food.

Pros: We often stay in Norwich and have tried several hotels and B&Bs over the years, both expensive and cheap. This hotel is the best so far! Our room had a spa bath rather than a shower, which was an enjoyable surprise. Hotel is three converted Georgian Grade ii listed buildings so ambiance was great if you like 'period' styles - and so much nicer that the corporate sameness of many 'chain' hotels! Good breakfast cooked to order and staff all very friendly and helpful. Only a 5 minute walk to the city centre so could leave car at hotel and save on parking charges. Only stayed for one night and didn't try the restaurant, but the menu looked very interesting with lots of dishes we could have happily chosen.
