Cons: The rooms had hairs all over--long hairs of someone who had been there before me. These hairs were in the bathroom and in the room, including on or around the bed. Maybe the hairs belong to the house cleaning personnel, the beds having fresh, clean sheets, not used sheets.

Pros: The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The location was perfect! We stayed in a luxury suite and the view was amazing. The rooms were clean and comforting. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Servers were polite and welcoming also. We stayed for 5 nights and it was like being at home. Very unexpected yet VERY satisfied and happily surprised. Also, the driver that the hotel provided for shuttle service from the Airport was very nice and welcoming! Hector Lozano provided excellent transportation and was accessibly available to take us on sight seeing throughout Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, and Dolores Hidalgo as well as around Leon. Highly recommend that you request for his services. =)

Pros: Due to our travel arrangements we arrived early. Despite a full hotel the night before, the Hotel Rex was able to accommodate us with a clear room as soon as possible. The hotel is conveniently at the corner of the main plaza and next to the bus routes to the Zona Piel.
Cons: The breakfast commons was supposed to be open at 7:30 but opened late so we ate rushed in order to catch our departing bus.

Pros: Friendly staff, rooms were kept clean all time. 10/10, no complaints.
Cons: Dangerous neighborhood around there. (Not the hotel's fault) 10-15 walking distance to downtown Leon. Gym was ok.
