Pros (+) I stayed in a girls dorm, the place was nice and quaint. The staff was very friendly.
Cons (-) Bring your own towel and soaps, unless they were all snagged by the ladies I stayed with, they were not provided.
Pros (+) Great customer service! Front attendent was friendly and helpful when asked about the area. Room was very clean and simple to meet all your daily needs.
Pros (+) The Gardner Hotel is like stepping back, quite a ways back into the past. The lobby looks exactly like I would imagine it did in the 30s/40s, complete with the phone switchboard and old telephone stand. Perfect for someone traveling by themselves looking for a clean, comfortable room. The staff at the hotel could not have been more friendly and helpful!
Cons (-) The only 'downside' to the hotel is that the building it occupies is also home to 3 bars, all directly under most of the rooms. If you are staying there over the weekend, you might consider ear plugs if you wish to fall asleep before 3 am.
