Pros (+) Nice hotel in a great location close to town. Recently built, the rooms were very spacious, had everything once would need. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Many great restaurants could be reached by a 5 minute walk.
Cons (-) Parking was either on the street or valet, which was outside next to the hotel costing $30 per night. This is to be expected for a hotel in the city but a nuisance.
Pros (+) 6 blocks away from downtown; saved $80 a night compared to conference venue hotel, walking six blocks well worth the savings.
Pros (+) The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and there was free full breakfast.
Cons (-) The location of the hotel was just a bit too far from downtown, requiring a walk through a busy traffic area. There were no restaurants nearby or in the hotel, necessitating a walk in the dark.
Pros (+) Best Hampton Inn hot tub I've seen, large and warm. This is a newer hotel so it is in good shape.

Pros (+) I've stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown a half-dozen or more times. Its value is good: when I compare room prices (which I do every time I visit), it's always got the best bang-for-buck in the downtown area. It's safe, clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Pros (+) Nice room. Nice breakfast.
Cons (-) No parking provided. Had to park on the street.
Pros (+) The staff is impeccable and the breakfast is very nicely appointed. Location is convenient to downtown.
