When considering the best car hire in Los, the first thing to think about is horsepower. Smaller cars are best for navigating the narrow roads, but you'll need a fair amount of power for getting up and down the hills. An automatic transmission is also recommended to make the climbs and descents easier. The mini is a great choice of car, with a good balance of power and size. It has a solid output and a 2L engine, which is more than enough power to manoeuvre the light-bodied car with minimal effort.

It's easy to see what the speed limit is when driving as the whole island is well signposted. When driving on most roads on the island you'll be allowed to drive between 100 km/ph and 120 km/ph while on highways. Smaller secondary roads have a limit of 90 km/ph. The speed limit drops to 50 km/ph in residential areas and is 30 km/ph on most single-lane hilly roads. If you are a first-time driver on the island, the best bet is to go slow, let local drivers overtake you when you can and reduce your speed to 30 km/ph on gravel roads.
