Banff hotels near Banff Park Museum

Cons: The restaurant selection was limited. The meal preparation was poor instant mashed potatoes. Overall the food tasted bad. My husband got sick from beef ribs.

Cons: I was surprised that wifi was offered because of the hotel's location, the wifi never worked for myself or my mom. We contacted the guest service number and they were unable to do anything about it nor willing to offer help. (Like I said I understand since the hotel is literally on the side of a mountain.) I was hoping for a quite relaxing night in the hot pool and sauna yet there was some very loud children and the atmosphere at the facilities was not as luxurious as I'd hope for. (I love kids, I'm a nanny but when on vacation at a 4-5 star hotel I would have liked some peace at that time at night.)

Cons: Bed is very uncomfortable, all 3 of us woke up with back pain two days in a row. It was cold at night so I wanted to increase room temperature, but maxed out at 25 degree celcius. Ended up catching cold. All hotel staffs didnt care about my tmroom temperature.

Cons: View was blocked - Parking not included

Cons: There was a fee for self-parking, which is very annoying. It wasn't much, but it always rubs me the wrong way when the first thing a hotel does upon arrival is tack on a fee while checking you in. The parking is fine, though there are separate elevators for the parking structure and the hotel, which isn't made apparent. The location is ideal for a view, but is not the best if you don't have a vehicle. The shuttle is annoyingly timed, and it's way too far to walk to town, so you pretty much need a car. Also, the proximity to the gondola meant that while entering or leaving the hotel, you had a wait on traffic coming/going from the gondola. ** If you are going for the view, this is the place to stay. If you are hoping to enjoy down town, get a hotel closer. Having to drive and park in town for every meal became annoying quickly. It would have been great to be able to walk into town and not be stuck in traffic for 10-20 minutes each time we wanted to go somewhere.

Cons: Internet wifi didn't work at all in the rooms

Cons: The restaurant eden inside the resort is terrible. Almost ruined my evening we left after 2 course I think we paid for 4 never will I go back to that restaurant

Cons: Our banquet staff at the event we were attending were poorly trained. The bartenders could barely make a drink and the waitstaff were hopeless.

Cons: The property is starting to feel a little bit dated. Parking can be a real challenge at peak times.

Cons: Rooms too dark, especially in bathroom for women to put on make up. Didn't exchange CAD back to USD. Fee for parking.

Cons: The need for a deposit for essentials. Didn't feel that was necessary .

Cons: Pricey. Rooms are small. Bathroom was small. I could hardly turn around. Motel is dated-needs an upgrade.

Cons: Breakfast was no longer complementary. The travel sized shampoos were half empty, and the bar of soap was used. Pretty sure someone was smoking in their room, maybe it's allowed, but was not something I appreciated.

Cons: business center computer has a fee for everyone. in order to print boarding pass or other printout, you need to pay to use computer and printer in lobby

Cons: No microwave in the room, laundry facilities, or water fountain that I could find. No big deal but a microwave would have been a plus!

Cons: the breakfast was adequate but modest

Cons: Toilets were never cleaned, bath tub remained clogged the whole stay, the heating in the room was poor, the bed was very hard, sheets were very thin. Breakfast was not bad but some mornings were worse than others

Cons: The breakfast was chaotic and not very well organized. I had to ask for glasses for juice, mugs for hot drinks, cutlery and bowls for cereal. There was some cutlery behind all the food on the window shelf, but this wasn't really visible when people were serving themselves food. When I did notice the cutlery tray, there were only spoons left. The hot water for the tea was lukewarm. My daughter and I were sat right next to where the food was served and the line was being constantly held up by guests waiting for more coffee, juice, milk for cereal, etc. I did not know there was any bacon, until about 15 minutes after I had sat down as there was none when we first got there. I only realized when someone walked past me with the bacon. Whoever was in charge of making sure all the hot foods and other foods were in constant supply were not monitoring this properly. The only time all foods were well stocked was after 10:00am, when the bacon, sausage and egg were piled high, but as it was after 10:00am, no-one else was coming in to eat it. My daughter and I left around 10:40am and there was hardly anyone left so a lot of food would have gone to waste, when this should have been in abundance earlier on. Though it was chaotic, the workers who were replacing finished food items and tidying up, were pleasant and friendly throughout. I would have preferred an earlier check in time. Checking at 4pm and having to be out of the room the next morning at 11am, does not leave a lot of time to enjoy the amenities, (pool & hot tub) in the hotel or in the area. I felt short-changed. I would be reluctant to book again because of the not very pleasant breakfast experience.

Cons: The TV

Cons: The only negative about our stay was the "continental breakfast" that was included. Only the pastries and cereal were included, the hot foods were $10 more so we opted to eat outside of the hotel. Not a big deal, but worth noting.

Cons: We had sewer water coming up our bathroom sink at 7:30 am and the night before I noticed some black soot in the sink but did not know why. We left our room as soon as possible reported this to the front desk. The manager only offered a 50% return for the room rate when I thought it would only be right to fully compensate us for such an extreme inconvenience. Disgusting!

Cons: The hallways were covered in drywall mud patches so must have been prepping for some repainting or something. Temporary inconvenience but not a sightly interior.

Cons: Could do a bit of updating with TV and bedding

Cons: There is no pool even though they say there is. You have to go next door to the neighbor hotel and it is dingy and very sketchy hot tub area. Pool is in completely different area. Breakfast was supposed to be until 11:00 am and was cleaned up and put away by 10:30 am. A decent walk from most shopping areas and restaurants. Not worth $400 + for a night. One of the only rooms without a balcony.

Cons: INTERNET WAS VERY POOR STRENGTH . COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST WAS NOT GOOD . Some time they do not attend call at reception desk nor they call back to room

Cons: Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious but a bit pricey.

Cons: The pillows were so big and uncomfortable.

Cons: Artificial flowers in pool area where real plants would probably thrive. Needs to keep on updating to appeal to current standards, including carpet and paint finishes.

Cons: Walk to town was a little longer than most hotels, but still a great location.

Cons: It seems the drains in the bathroom were clogged up a little.

Cons: Resort town so all hotels are expensive. Didnt like being charged for parking or internet.

Cons: It was a bit pricey in the high summer season, but so were many other things in Banff. Extra daily cost for wifi and underground parking. Hotel was mostly quiet, but a little noisy when trains came through, not awful. Room layout and some furnishings were dated (mixed ages/styles), but the room was reasonably comfortable. Maintenance of some plumbing fixtures was deficient (I have no clue why housekeeping staff coordinates so poorly with the maintenance crew in many hotels such as this). My rating would have been higher if staff had bothered to take just 15 seconds of screwdriver time on the shower handles. Front desk person was unaware of wired internet, "We don't have that!" But they do in one wing. Be aware that Banff town is a significant distance from the Icefields Parkway.

Cons: Bed spreads near a serious cleaning, stains and frays are everywhere.

Cons: Only thing I could complain about was the carpet in the room. It was old and needed to be changed. Stuffed up my family.

Cons: No free wi-fi. They charge $10-a-day.

Cons: It would have been nice to have 2 chairs on the balcony.

Cons: Charging for wifi is outdated and should be changed in my opinion. It is a common service for hotels to have free wifi nowadays. oh well.

Cons: The facilities need an upgrade, especially the bathrooms. They are really showing their age both in appearance and function. The hot tub and jacuzzi were tepid at best, and the pool was freezing.
