DoubleTree by Hilton Albuquerque is a newly renovated hotel in the downtown business district, walking distance from major companies and federal offices. This newly renovated hotel is connected to the Albuquerque Convention Center. Take the complimentary shuttle to Albuquerque Airport, located just five miles from our hotel. We are also only three miles from the Old Town and the University of New Mexico. Stay connected with internet access in every room as well as WiFi in public areas. Amenities for work include a new business center, flexible meeting space, and banquet facilities for up to 300 guests. Leisure amenities include an outdoor pool and 24-hour fitness center. Enjoy our newly renovated food and beverage outlets: Coffee 505 café, Lounge 201, and Icon Bistro restaurant, for casual dining with regional favorites.

Breakfast, which cost $16 pp, included powdered eggs, stale croissants and stale muffins. We opted to get groceries and eat in our room. The room was only cleaned once during a 6 night stay. Dirty glasses were not replaced and the cleaning was not very thorough. We are Diamond Level with Hilton and this is probably one of the worse hotels in the chain that we have stayed at.

Pros (+) Clean room, comfy bed. The cookie.
Cons (-) The restaurant and bar were ridiculous. I've never had worse service. Elevators are SLOW and half of them were broken.

Cons (-) Lady that attended to check in was not friendly at all. It appeared she did not enjoy her job or the service that she was providing to the customers. The cleaning staff was very loud the next morning around 9AM, slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallways. Pillows were very soft and took about 3 of them stacked together to provide any support for neck and head. No refrigerator in room.

Cons (-) Everything about this hotel was good -- no complaints about the facilities, service, etc. At 11:30pm I was in bed when other guests of the hotel entered my room -- they had been assigned the SAME room. It was a disturbing situation for paying customers, both myself and for them. Whether this was a system error or human error, please take steps to insure this doesn't happen to future guests.

Pros (+) Rooms were clean, well equipped. Service at desk was great. Free parking (on weekends) across the street was a huge bonus!
Cons (-) We were first time visitors staying on a weekend, and found the area eerily dead. We expected a more lively area given the downtown location. Also a bit disappointed the pool didn't have a hot tub, but those are luxuries, so no biggie.
