So close to the train station

- friendly and helpfull staff. I had a problem with a wifi and couldn´t work, The staff react fast and try to solve the problem incl. a complemetary guesture. - excellent breakfast - very good equipped rooms, comfortable - good check in. I would book a stay again every time.

- english skills of the staff in the restaurant should improve a little bit. The staff in the restaurant was always helpful and kind. In total no big problem.

The staff were very helpful especially concierge called Mitchell and the staff in the Club lounge were very attentive too! The breakfast choice was excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable

The room 850 smelled of smoke and damp the damp patch was on the Lh side behind the curtain and the view was obstructed by the ornate Balcony

The room was fantastic value for money because it included the lounge and we were lucky enough to get a free check out with that until 4pm next day. The actual building is really lovely and the gym was good. The staff in the lounge were so lovely and attentive. I would definitely recommend doing that. The bed was incredible!!!

The rooms could have had a little bit more attention to detail. Robes and towels a little worse for wear and a few hairs in places. Could be doing with modernising. We also ate in the buffet restaurant and actually really regretted it. It wasnt great value for money and didnt feel like a high quality meal for the price. I would go again and eat in the a la carte restaurants.

The room was exceptional. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in China over my last 3 years of living here. The spa was amazing (but pricey)

Room is spacious, pillows are comfortable. Location is strategic and near to Hongqiao train station & Hongqiao airport.

They only provide shuttle bus from the hotel to Hongqiao train station & Hongqiao airport but not the other way round. Slow check in (comparing with other five star hotels). Considering the travellers from all over the world, the breakfast selection was not impressive.

The hotel is splendid in every sense of the word, very plush and luxurious, quiet and sophisticated despite being very large.

The hotel is a little isolated, there is nowhere within walking distance where you can go for a drink, a meal or shop, so it's definitely hotel living, but its a lovely place to live!

I really like the hospitality of the staffs in Sofitel, they always offered to add their WeChat for convenience (e.g buying train tickets, asking for recommendations). The building itself is very grand and superb, I really like the interior! The bed is so comfortable that my father sleeps so peacefully (usually he doesn't), the room is very spacious, I love everything about the room!

The location is close to the railway so it's very convenient for people who usually do business in the areas. However, it is very far from the shopping center (Nanjing Road). The breakfast was not exceptional!

Fabulous breakfast, very comfortable beds, all round very friendly, English speaking staff. Lovely bar, terrace, pool and huge rooms. Well connected for metro , just get directions if you are walking as easy to get lost! It's actually a pleasant approx. 20 mins walk.

Not much atmosphere in evening for eating, quite quiet. Buffet option ok or there are other quite empty on site options. Other options available outside the hotel cheaper but that's to be expected.

My room was huge. With a large spacious bathroom and an innovative glass panel between the rooms with an electronic modesty blind for taking a bath etc. Everything was absolutely spotless and the staff were attentive and polite. It was very quiet when I stayed so I largely had the restaurant to myself and personal service from several very friendly and engaging women in traditional Chinese dress. Fabulous experience all round. I wish I could have stayed longer.

I was traveling out of Pudong airport and it was quite a long taxi journey to get there. Very convenient if you're flying out of Hongqiao though.

Brand new hotel! The french chef at the bf and brunch was fantastic always here to give you the best experience.

Ventilations in toilet really insufficient. The room was smelling cigarette a bit sad for a non smoking hotel.

The bed WAS extra comfy! I don't eat croissants (or any breads) but they LOOKED delicious and flaky! Service and courtesy was outstanding, food was delicious, drinks were good. The hotel itself was a magnificent edifice and beautifully maintained. All floors sparkling. Spaacious, luxurious. Worth a visit just to enjoy the architecture alone. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable. My sister (travelling companion) concurs.

This place was a gift, the most beautiful hotel in shanghai. No question about it. You could dance Argentine tango everywhere. The floors are perfect for dance

Just Amazing! You can see the French elegance in the hotel. There was so much thought put into creating the rooms and the hotels overall aesthetic and environment. Loved every minute of my stay there and the spa was amazing!!

The room was big enough to accommodate my wife, my 1 year old son and myself. The breakfast buffet was marvellous. The terrace was so relaxing with the waterfall and the pool.

The swimming pool looks more like a competitive swimming pool than a relaxing one.
