Good value and walking distance...
Good location directly at Shanghai Railway Station. Rooms were clean and quite comfortable.
Not bad. Needs more improvement....
My kid loves the pool and the gym was also great for daily workout.
The guest service operator was not very kind and helpful. We wanted an ice bucket and he said not sure if there is but if there is we will send it to ur room. What kind hotel does not have ice ready made? Second day I asked for 3 forks and again his reply was the same if there is a fork he will send it up to the room??? What an answer and his tone was also not very welcoming. The room also needs some reservation. Some lights could not turn on and the bathtub was leaking. Watching the TV makes me feel like im living in the early 2000s. Low quality channel and an old LCD tv. The bed was also abit old feels like the middle was lower then both the sides. The room also felt a bit to dark. Breakfast was also not that good. Same food option everyday with very few selection.
Poor
The bed was comfortable
Rude staff, poor quality breakfast, no access to executive lounge after being told over the phone that it’s open, compared to other Pullman Hotels in China this one is really poor quality and standards
Excellent!
Very clean!

Room service
Food was wonderful.
I ordered a bottle of wine.. it was undrinkable - had gone off. It was replaced but that bottle was no better.
Comfortable stay
The pool facilities are very nice and kids enjoyed it.
Superb
Superb wifi. Very good breakfast. Staff nice and professional.
Im just 1 person but they gave me a room with 2 beds.
Very good
Great thanks to Amy Wang as she took care for us in a really professional way
Club was closed without informing executive room we have booked
The service was excellent. The staff was quick to answer any concerns.

The professionalism with which management has addressed and resolved the situations. Customer really comes on the first place in this hotel. Also very nice rooms and perfect location
the facilities were very limited due to the Covid-19 outbreak

The gym on the first floor is very nice. Breakfast and dinner buffet is amazing, we enjoyed it a lot.
Unfortunately, the pool wasn't working due to CNY holidays and nobody had told us about that in advance.
Everything was very nice!

Hotel cleaners knocked our doors like every 20-30mins before noon, asking for cleaning, even we said we would go out around noon.
Good

- good location - breakfast quality is good
- not clean at all - can be cold for winter, and the aircon is not easily adjustable - the room is small
The pool and Spa area are very modern and enjoyable. Espacially as not many guests seem to make use of it. The location is very good if you have some business in the area or arrive/depart by train. If not, maybe consider a more central option.
The breakfast is overpriced, in case you did not include into the booking. Also, our main mirror was dirty on all three days of our stay.
Gooooddddd hotel. It's very convenience
Everything was perfect. Perfect location, super clean and really nice staff who are super helpful. This is my third time living at Pullman Jing An and will definitely not be the last. This is my favorite hotel in Shanghai so far.
The swimming pool was fantastic. The cleanness was fantastic
The room was dark and small. When we arrived the security guy asked his friend not to take our luggage as that was not their job as a security
The location was good as it was close to a metro station. The surrounding area was not trendy or upscale, but it wasn't run down...it is after all near the Shanghai Railway Station.
No complaints. If I had to give a reason it would be that the breakfast selection was the same for the 5 days that i stayed.
Great location, walking distance to train station, 5 mins. Good space.
too much noise during the night, low ceiling, breakfast is o.k.
location and rooms were good
breakfast options were poor for a Pullman
Good location
The worst of its kind. There was no one greeting us upon arriving at their front door and after I waved to one of their porter, one skinny guy came with attitude. I politely asked him to get a carrier for us since we got 2 large luggages and 3 bags but when that guy saw us getting our first luggage he said, and I quote: “you got only one luggage you don’t even need a carrier”. Both me and my husband were shocked by his rudeness but we still went to the reception for check in, without his help. The next day we went down to the lobby to raise complain and their manager came to us and explain as: that skinny guy was not from their hotel but the club upstairs. While 3 days staying at that hotel, we found no “club” anywhere in that building. All their staff was rude and no hospitality at all. The only thing we wish during the stay was hoping for no communication with their staff because we didn’t want their attitude to ruin our holiday in Shanghai. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
- very nice gym - the manager was very helpful with queries, especially when we wanted another room due to the construction noise around the hotel area - less than 3 mins walk to the metro station
- not very clean. We found hair on the bed and on a towel - quite noisy at night due to construction around the hotel area - the foremen were extremely unhelpful. They did not help with the luggage when we arrived at the hotel and not helped to get a cab (or bother asking how they could help when we were waiting for a cab at the front door). Instead they were just happily chatting and looking at their phones.
Functional and quite nice hotel. Stayed here before. Good that it's near the railway, subway, and many many restaurants and minimarts.
Nothing is the problem. Receptionists are quite cold, the travel desk personnel were much nicer and helpful
Hotel provides plenty of bottled water, room service
The constitutions nearby the hotel made some noise.
The hotel itself is good but the location is a bit messy, too many construction on going, and not nice pleasant view for the Shanghai city. But is good location if go by metro the station just beside the hotel.
Metro station exit 5 is just next to the entrance door to the hotel Breakfast was really good
The room was small Safe locker number keys were not all working A couple of bolts were loose in the bathroom door The room was hotter than my liking and the temperature won't go any more down. I eventually had to keep the bathroom window open to adjust temperature.
Staff Bonnie Hu was very approachable and assisted with all my queries. Most importantly, she remembers my requests without me having to repeat them.
Room comfort Metro access Breakfast
Room was small Was not briefed about the available facilities My colleague's credit card was not accepted, whereas it was accepted in other Chinese hotels. The staff did not ask for PIN number which others asked and it worked.
The location is superb, right on TOP of Shanghai Railway station . Staff was helpful.
Property a bit old and didn’t deserve a 5 star hotel rating, more towards 3-4 star. Drawer can’t close properly; bathroom door can’t close completely; air conditioner full of dust trapped inside; shower head water leaked from hose connect point.
Location is great. Very near the Shanghai Railway Station. Just few steps away from the MTR exit. Room is not large but the bed and pillow is comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful.
We I did the check in, the front desk had a long queue...the entrance is not that obvious and sometimes need to explain to the taxi driver how to get the entrance.
Staff was supportive and finding best option for a calm room, location conveniently close to railway station
Construction work around hotel all night, awfully loud if you face this direction, but staff gave me new room in opposite direction after having asked twice, so that was better, but still facing a large street then. No bar for enjoying a drink. Not really 5star level compared to other hotels in Shanghai
Front desk staff were not effective nor customer oriented. Not friendly. Generally I expected more decent guest relations from a reputable hotel group
construction noise went on throughout the night
Breakfast is OK compare to restaurant in the neighborhood
Sound proofing is NOT good. I stayed up in floor 22, paid extra for that and requested a quiet room. The construction sounds from the street level woke me up around 23:00 and last until 3-4am, sound like thunderstorms. Every night I stayed, I suffered that sounds.
Quiet area while still pretty central. Shanghai Train station is 300m away. Family Markt around the corner, pretty convenient. The hotel is clean and modern.
The bathroom sink was a bit low (height-wise).
We stay very short time and did not have breakfast in hotel
location near the railway station
Good gym, nice pool
No proper hotelbar
Gym is good.
My friends dropped us there at the hotel and we were treated by the porters very unprofessionally one of them even spit in front of the customers and yelling at the other customers. Very bad mannered and we were so shocked. During check-in, the hotel receptionist asked for a ¥300 deposit which is very reasonable, however she took $300 from my New Zealand credit card, and it’s been nearly three days and I still didn’t get it. Overall very bad impression and could hardly believe this is the high tier of the Accor Brand.
Good croissants
I have been stolen 1000 euros from the room. The cctv confirmed a lady of the staff entered my room while I was having a rest in the afternoon and she spent one minute in my room. At night I noticed 1000 euros were missing from my wallet. I went to the police, the police came to the hotel, I waste a lot of time....and I haven’t had my money back.
Breakfast in the hotel was good with special order eggs. The Pullman was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our China trip. Subway is very close to hotel.
Nothing.
Location is great - beside the railway station, though quite calm place. One receptionist lady speaking proper English, which was a nice experience, in general staff was quite distant-keeping. Breakfast was various with wide range and great coffee. Money changing machine in the lobby is useful.
Room was a bit rundown (furniture, tapestry) - a proper renovation would give back its prior charm. Rooms are not spacious enough for a multiple day tourist stay. Spa area is quite basic.
The AC was not working and the room was very hot. I asked the front desk 3 times to fix it but they could not solve the problem.
very centrally located opposite shanghai station , comfortable and easy to move around
The check in was very pleasant and the staff is very prompt in fulfilling our requirement
Rooms are clean. Gym and pool are very good. Location of hotel is good as well. Food is not bad if you are non vegetarian, but variety is less.
Bed is too soft. Lobby is very small. Restaurant near the lobby has eaten all the place.
Short way to train station
No really bar
The pool.and gym was good
Very dark rooms, the concierege sent the taxi to the wrong terminal costing much more money
Bed was super comfortable, wish I could have slept more but room was too bright. Swimming pool and gym were great!
Western breakfast was terrible for almost 20€ it should have been much better. All juices are not fresh, tea was cold, no ham, bread was old. I don't know about the Chinese breakfast but the western was really bad! Room got also very bright during the day because no proper curtains on the bathroom. Not enough water coming out of shower. Hotel is getting a bit run down, need more maintenance. Fotos are very misleading.
The location is very near the train station and subway line, so it's convenient for travel around China and Shanghai. There's decent restaurants in the area too.
Our room used to be a smoking room just by the smell. There was some minor spots in the bathroom that didn't look cleaned up. Also, the lobby has two check-in stations which was a little confusing. We would wait in one section to be told to go to another area after our wait.
Nice hotel and breakfast was good.
The property is next to shanghai train station and near to lots of food joints.Rooms are very clean.
Rooms are small and breakfast is just ok. Continental food is also not very different in flavor than Chinese. Less variety in breakfast.
The concierge set a taxi for us to take us to the airport and made us pay in advance 300 rmb, which is way too expensive as I have found out afterwards! And we could not even get a receipt from our trip! Really annoying when you trust your hotel and they take advantage if you...
I found a dead spider with seafood during the dinner.
Location
The hotel cannot handle guests who enter the country via E-channel. While we were warned that no toothbrushes were proactively provided, it took 30min for them to bring us one to the room in the evening, the excuse was that they only hire 1 person who handles the nightshift room service. In the early morning, in front of our door, the workers started drilling and hammering as the walls needed urgent renovation. Their rooms are half the size as the standard rooms in similar hotels around Shanghai station from international hotel chains. Breakfast was mediocre at best with empty spots and non-refilled sauces. Cannot recommend unfortunately.
Everithink was fine
Is a little far from people square
The Buffet breakfast was very good.. the room was TINY for a 5 star Hotel and ALOT of money, I expected alot better and the hallways smelt of decades of smoke... was pretty gross..
The room is not included the breakfast. The location is so so , no big shopping mall nearby.
The hotel is situated at the middle and no big hotel sign, even the taxi driver can't easy to find it.
The front-desk tried to check me in as soon as possible when I arrived at 8 am. I got my room at 9.30. The gesture was ery much appreciated.
The air-conditioner in the room could be colder.
The indoor pool and fitness facilities were very good.
Service did not feel like a Pullman Hotel; less friendly and helpful staff.
Location was excellent literally 5 minutes walk from the train station.
Not much. It doesn't meet the usual Pullman brand standards.
Location was good however this is easily the worst Pullman I've ever stayed at. The rooms need updating and the bar restaurant downstairs is poor. Quantity of food was subpar too. Would not recommend or stay there again.

Inconvenient..unable to get a taxi

Breakfast was very hood. Room great
That we were told that our breakfast was included but when we went to finalize the bill we were told that there was only one breakfast included How can one book a room for two yet only one breakfast supplied very disappointing. The message on booking is all wrong
The helpful staff.
Should have more food varieties for breakfast buffet.
Location is good, nearby subway and train station.
It was too loud, windows are not sealed good enough and car honks or people talking can be heard in the room.
Good breakfast, nice pool and the room has everything you need. Special thanks to James Singh for the additional eye for detail.
The knowledge of the Chinese staff was quite poor. But they have James who's native English speaker.
Very clean room and facilities. Also great breakfast.
Nearby shanghai railway station Good breakfast Next to metro exit
The beds are small (twin bed)
The service was good and breakfast very good :) we loved the bed and pillows most especially. And the rainshower in the restroom :)
Good breakfast, helpful staff, clean room with a good view.
Nothing there was to like. This is actually a 3 star Hotel. Very small rooms are the smallest in shanghai.
Breakfast was worst. Same breakfast for all three days. No variety of breakfast. There were insects and cockroaches in the food. Washrooms were very small rooms were congested. This is a three star hotel. which they fake made 5 star. Never stay there again
Located is near Metro
Hotel building as a whole. Bathroom is clean and well designed.
Old beddings, pillow is not so comfortable, quilt turned to yellow
back cusion on bed is great
maybe due to busy period, I have to wait an hour for room preparation before check in although it was close to 2pm already besides, bath towel has a bit of aq steril smell john's room next to the lobby at ground floor needs your room card for using while lady's room is free, bit weird
It was literally next to metro exit
The water thing's fan ourside the window was noisy. Going to gym/pool through the lobby was not convenient amd embarrassed as well.
From the moment we arrived looking bedraggled and tired from our flight and metro journey in a new city, the staff were friendly, kind, polite and the hotel was super clean, tidy and pleasant to stay in. Our room on 15th floor was clean and roomy with 2 beds and a huge bathroom. We stayed for 2 nights and I wish we didn't have to leave.
I can't fault our stay.
The location is perfect. 2 mins walk from Exit 5 of subway line 1. Overall comfortable beds and room facilities.
Sometimes I can hear the sound of running water from the room next door.
Cool location, the room is clear and good staffs
The hotel was very modern with spacious and well decorated room. It is located in a very well connected area with all the essentials just minutes away
The check out experience was not as pleasant as we were charged for a phone call we did not make and it was very unorganized. People continued to cut the line
I liked the location, very close to train and metro station.
I general the level of English in hotels in China is low or non existent.
Location is good Room is clean
Too expensive for Breakfast Parking condition is very poor
Nice location and service
Room is bit small
All located, adjacent to metro line 1 exit. Good facilities, what youd expect from a hotel chain like this. Would suit a business traveller or someone arriving fro. Shanghai railway station.
Well its ok not worth the price
Near metro
Location ok
- Location is good, very close to Shanghai railway station. - Staffs in check-out team(all ladies) gave me very good service, especially the one that is relatively senior(forgot to check her name)
- Room is quite old, a lot of strains of the marble floor(unable to remove) - Breakfast line had not been refilled properly(even at 9 am.), while there are still a lot of customers. - Atmosphere of hotel is not really good, felt like still on old local-Chinese hotel, then renovated & turned into Pullman. - Environments nearby hotel are very bad, dirty and messy. - So far, this hotel is still far beyond to achieve Pullman standard in many aspects, hope hotel can make improvements shortly.
The pool was pretty good. Very comfortable room. We had fun and we liked the hotel. The coffee was low quality though...my only qualm with the place.
Bad coffee. A bathtub would have been cool.
Location to Shanghai Train station is great. Lots of food options 1 block away from front door.
The hotel rooms were very comfortable and the pool was huge with good facilities. We had a good buffet dinner which was very good value.
The location was at the edge of Jing'an so not as convenient as some other hotels but still not too far out and the staff were helpful to get us taxis
The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom well appointed and clean. Breakfast was really good.
The breakfast could have a little larger selection. Like smoked salmon and grilled herring. And a selection of cheeses. And more selection of fruit juice. Especially in June should have had yangmei juice.
Bed was great, large and comfortable. Concierge helpful with train ticket top Wuxi.
air conditioner was very hot bed sheets are not changed on daily basis
The room might be slightly small than I thought but the most important is that we can sleep. The place is very comfy and clean. The staff are very friendly. BONUS: the location is very convenient as its just next to shanghai railway station so we can just take metro to go around!
It's a bit hard to find the exact location by taxi from the airport tbh because it's quite hidden. You just need to make sure your Google maps or etc. have the correct address.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and very tentative to our needs especially being foreigners in China. They made our experience great!
There was nothing to not like.
Breakfast
Air Condition was not working in my room, changed room but the same problem. poor house keeping
Room was excellent with very good features.
High-end
