Location, Breakfast
Improve renovation of rooms. Bad smelling, awful shower, no electrical points, noisy bed, ants in bed every day, dark rooms. We got stuck on the lift.
The location in the heart of the Santa Cruz district is fantastic. Very easy to walk to most sights.
The hotel is a maze of 20+ individual homes that have been joined by tunnels, walkways, etc. There is little signage and only a hand drawn paper map provided to guide you. We were literally lost for a good bit of the time finding our room and facilities
This was a wonderful hotel with a perfect location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel!
Perfect location - not suitable for people with mo
I loved everything about this hotel. The location is wonderful. It's not in the center of the hustle and bustle but very close, only a few minute walk. It's nice and quiet at night. The hotel itself is stunning, so romantic & charming. The hotel is a maze - be patient it could take you 45 to find your room but it's worth the adventure. It's a very charming hotel that hasn't been updated in a big way in a long time so if you're looking for something NEW this is not the place for you. If you like character & tranquility you'll love this spot.
I don't have anything negative to say but there are a few things I wish I knew before I booked because for some people these could be deal breakers. If you have mobility issues or can't climb stairs easily this is NOT the place for you. I mentioned the place is like a maze, which I loved but when I had 8 bags (2 weeks worth of luggage for travel around Spain) and couldn't find my room for 45 min. There is no rhyme or reason to the layout of this place so some rooms are up around winding hallways and hidden passage ways & there are no signs. Not handicap friendly! The other thing is that there is only wifi in the one common area lobby - so if you need to work or don't feel like splurging on an international data plan, you'll be disconnected for most of your stay as a lot of surround places don't have wifi either.
The collection of buildings is beautiful and charming and the staff was very helpful after our initial problem with getting us into a nicer room. Well situated in the city. Much more impressive inside than you would expect.
Our first room had mildew in the closet. I was bummed because we lost the spa tub, but they upgraded us to a suite as soon as we pointed out the issue.
Quirky setting with great decor and friendly staff
Decor and architecture Friendly staff Breakfast quality
Small room Somewhat difficult to navigate
Great location, fascinating grounds, helpful staff.
Everything was great. The staff were very friendly, the decor was beautiful and definitely set up a romantic feel, made you feel like you were in another era.
An atmospheric hotel made up of four old interlinked houses. The restaurant in the basement could be entered through a warren of tunnels.
Lovely ambience (common areas and bedroom), excellent location, helpful staff. Spacious bedroom and good views.
Nice bathroom but tight in some areas. Good choice of breakfast, but quality of some items left a bit to be desired.
An amazing collection of buildings grouped together to form the hotel, just finding your way to and from reception to your room was an adventure! Wandering through the little courtyards and passages was fun. The rooms were comfortable with lovely bathrooms and showers.
We did not have rooms in the Patio de San Clemente as the booking said, but by the time we realised we felt it was too late to complain or to ask to move. If we had been staying more than two nights we might have done so. We felt they should offer a map of the hotel and Seville without having to be asked to do so. If they had we would have realised the mistake earlier.
We liked very much the spirit of this hotel - you get a much better feeling of the traditional Sevillan residences than staying in a standard hotel with rooms in row in a corridor. In this hotel even finding your room on your own after the staff has once shown the way is a pleasant exercise - you pass different patios with fountains, climb stairs and follow winding pathways. The room we had was beautifully furnished and the bath very comfortable.
Our dinner in the hotel restaurant was less spectacular. The restaurant is beautiful, but the food was not to the standard one would expect.
very comfortable and clean
It is a very charming hotel in the middle of Sevilla, most friendly staff, clean. More like a 5-star hotel.
The loudliness, in our room you heard all the noises from other bathrooms, outside work etc.
location decor
Great location, rooms very clean, friendly and helpful staff.
No soap in the bathroom (that we could find anyway!)
we had a four poster, so the room was spacious for two people "cute" layout of premises -- tunnels linking the various villas and many courtyards...very different from other hotels; beautiful courtyards
not enough lighting in the room; it was a bit too dark the bathroom smells (smells like methane) the airconditioner (for heat) did not work properly the safe deposit box did not function properly
lady manager VICTORIA (I THINK) with whom i dealt with on this occasion was excellant in her manner of dealing with our complaint
2 2nd time we had no hot water my wife has only had hot water once out of three visits in past 9=12 months
