The hotel was in the centre of Albufeira, within easy reach of all amenities.
Our room was directly over the bars. I booked 4 rooms each at 100 euros and my room was 120 as it was a twin room. These were the only rooms left. However, my room was the smallest, with least amenities; other rooms had self catering facilities, eg balcony, fridge and cooker. We went back to the hotel for a nightcap drink, but the staff begrudgingly said "ok we can open the bar if you want". Not very inviting!!! Cockroaches and small bugs also in room. Music from bars continued till 4 am with the room vibrating along with it.

If i was a young person who wanted to party all night it was great.as a not so young person,needing a nights sleep,it was not good.

Would recommend the Hotel California. Room was pleasantly decorated with a huge balcony with 2 sun loungers and a table and 2 chairs. There was plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. Bathroom was nice with a bathtub and pretty much a power shower. TV had plenty of English channels. Continental breakfast was grand. Staff were lovely and the location was excellent, right on Bar Street, around the corner from the Square and a few minutes walk to the beach
It could be a little noisy as our room overlooked Bar Street but with earplugs in it didnt disturb our sleep.

The location was fantastic easy access to the beach and all local retaurants and bars
Far to noisy from the street below , would not have liked a room on the front , shut your window and ut the air conditioning on and that keep you awake
